The age-old advice: Do something.

CNN reports:
A pair of suspected U.S. drone strikes killed four al Qaeda militants in Yemen as the United States maintained a heightened security alert in the country and urged all Americans to leave immediately.... A Yemeni official said four drone strikes have been carried out in the past 10 days....

It is unclear whether the strikes were related to the added security alert in the country after U.S. officials intercepted a message from al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri to operatives in Yemen telling them to "do something."
Oh, so it's al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri who gave out the call to "do something" — not somebody somewhere in the Obama administration. Noted.

Excuse me for not placing a lot of trust in our president to not "wag the dog". This "chatter" has been going on for months and likely our "enemy" is keenly aware of how they could use it to manipulate us.

It was 15 years ago this time of year when Clinton made a big show to return to Washington from Martha's Vineyard to attend to the "people's business" and bomb a pharmaceutical plant in the Sudan to divert attention away from his exploding scandals.

These scandals are much worse and require a proportionate diversion.

As tempting as it may be to mock Obama over this by, say, referencing Brave Sir Robin, I don't know the nature of the threats.

Maybe Susan Rice anticipated the reaction to Nakoula's release from jail.

I wonder what video caused the plot this time?

It could have come from the administration; but, we know that Obama is very selective about doing something, anything. What's his motivation?

Due process for me, but not for thee.

How do we know those killed by the recent drone strikes were Al Qaeda?

Why should we believe any claims by the government regarding upticks in threats, increased "chatter," the identities of people they're killing from afar by robot bombers, and so on?
