Oh my, are the Tigers in the middle of a collapse ala 1986 game 6?

They looked like football players.

Reminds me of "Black and White," the treacly song of the same title by "Three Dog Night." Much prefer their "Out in the Country."

Anyway, the NYT story this morning on the villain Kwame Kilpatrick is good for horselaughs. No mention that he is a Democrat. No mention that Blagojevich, mentioned in the story, is a Democrat.

The guy became mayor of Detroit when he was how old? 31.

His parents? Career politicians. Mother was in Congress; father state politics.

Kwame earned a JD from the Detroit College of Law at age 29 in 1999.

Work experience? A few years as a teacher in Detroit's public schools. BA in Education. Zzzz.

In 1996, apparently when he was starting law school (!) he was elected to the Michigan House and two years later was elected minority floor leader in 1998 before being elected House minority leader in 2001. And then mayor of one of the nation's largest cities. Not bad for someone in law school (!) who has no experience doing anything! Except teaching grade school a few years.

He split $9.6 million in illegal contract kickbacks. And who knows what else he did.

Makes you wonder who in DC might be benefiting from all those Obamacare contracts.

Is it just me, or can the one on the right lick his own eyeball?

Everyone tells me I need a pet, but I think I enjoy being able to give them back after enjoying them. Sort of like babies or books.

That's what we need. A library for pets. ... Wait, no, that's a horrible idea.

Befriend your neighbors and help them out with their pets.

Also, some rescue places have programs where you can take a dog out. I know in Austin, TX, there's Jog-a-Dog.

I have a new thing to investigate this weekend.
