"He had a terrible go at me, snarling, 'What’s wrong with you? If you can’t get it right then you’re out.'"

"I just got up from my stool and said, 'That’s it, I quit.' It was the biggest mistake of my life."

For a minute there, I thought it was Sandra Day O'Connor speaking about a meeting with Antonin Scalia

Doug meet Pete Best. Pete meet Doug. End of story.

Made his wife happy (I hope).

The Who wouldn't have become the band they became if Keith Moon had not joined them. They might have been a good band, but they would have been a very different band.

Mr. Sandom is 84 years old, and he quit The Who 50 years ago at age 34. Peter Townshend was 20 years old when he snapped at Mr. Sandom.

It wasn't a mistake. It was time to move on.

All that wealth and fame didn't do Keith Moon much good. Maybe regret is easier to handle than wealth and fame. If you've got any character defects, wealth and fame turn the volume up to eleven.

(Supreme Court justices? Was there a choke hold involved?)

Ah well, finding the right drummer can make or break a group.

I am a huge WHO fan so I knew about Sandborn and that he was older, married at the time...I didn't realize he was 20 years older. Yikes.

Honestly, what I thought I was going to click on was a story about McLean Stevenson's departure from MASH.

Him and Pete Best can form a club of untalented drummers who originally were part of to-be legendary bands.

I can't explain.

20 years older. Well obviously, Mr. Sandborn wasn't a member of m-m-m-my generation.
