A shirt that give the illusion that you're openly carrying a gun.

"Don’t put your hand on the shirt on the gun...."

If you're going to wear a shirt with a gun on it, I recommend the shirt that the scientist wore. If you're unlucky enough to be in a convenience store when a robber comes in, this is a "shoot me first" shirt if ever one was.

Can they combine this with the ever-popular 'tuxedo' t-shirt? Because then you'd be ready for anything.

And what's more it is not detectable in the metal detector. But TSA will arrest him anyway for making fun of them.

Back in the day, there was a T-shirt some women wore to make them look like they were naked from the waist up.

That was a really rotten thing to do.

Bad idea. Open carry itself is a bad idea. Even if open carry comes about in my state I'll keep mine hidden from view, thanks all the same, because robbers, assaulters, burglars and murderers need a surprise every once in awhile. Down in Texas - rapists beware:

It follows the seat belt shirt, what make it look like you're wearing a seat belt.

Make it in Light Saber form, and you'll sell a boatload.

Pants and purses should come with a warning. It's enough to reach for the fictitious gun in your pocket, purse, etc. Suspicion of intent to use deadly force is sufficient cause to act in self-defense. This argument was used (and tortured by the DA) in a police shooting in Salt Lake City.

The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun on his t-shirt.

By drawing the first shot from the bad guy, he alerts everyone else to take cover.

Works great!

Seems like it should be the other way around:
'Don’t put your hand on the gun on the shirt....'

I can think of nothing so stupid as to give the impression you're carrying a gun, when you're not.

Open carry is nearly as dumb. I want the bad guys to figure out I've got a gun when they feel that horrible sting just under the sixth rib on their left side.

Across the chest print "Muhammad blows goats." The combination should provoke more than twice as many people as either alone. Good times. Good times.

Last year there was the guy in Norridgewock Maine with a realistic semiauto gun tattooed on his lower abdomen. He came out of his house bare-chested to yell at the power company tree trimmers for making a racket. It resulted in a full blown SWAT team assault. He cooperated with the authorities because “I got plans today. I didn’t want to get shot”.

Step 1. Outlaw the shirt so that only outlaws will have the shirt.

Step 2. Shoot all the outlaws wearing it.

Step3. No more outlaws!

Alternative t-shirt idea:
"I'll give you my shirt when you peel it from my cold, dead, bullet-ridden, bloody torso"

This is a stupid idea that WILL get someone killed. The only possible upside is if the idiot who wears the shirt hasn't reproduced yet.

No thanks.

I'll stick with by brown coat that has the picture of the back end of a white-tail deer on the back, that I wear in the woods during hunting season.

BTW if you've had a prostatectomy, hernia repair, or just want to get away from IWB for a while this is a good economical solution.

What is it about the concept of free speech that makes people discard all notion of discretion and common sense? There's so much that legitimately needs to be said about guns and the often too-fearful aversion to them, but this way looks rife with potential to get you shot over nothing.

If you want to look like you're carrying a gun, carry a goddamn gun. But rethink this whole "look like" concept 'cause you're thinking things wrong. Wrong and stupid.

Ignorance is Bliss: around here, it's fun to dress as Air Force One during dove season. Draws more fire.

Well I have a CHL here in Texas. Yes I pack very very often.

BUT, only a fool would have a shirt like that when stopped by a cop. A cop, or even a CCW carrier, would not know if it was a real gun in a poorly lit room. That is just asking to be capped.

The trick with concealed carry is the term, CONCEALED. Don't do stupid stuff folks.

I don't think that open carry is all that bad. You just have to get used to it. First time I saw it, it was a bit jarring. But, pretty quickly you get to the point that you don't notice, except as to what type of gun they are carrying. Kinda like how you view the cops - their guns are not really that intimidating (for most of us).

You see open carry on occasion in Arizona, but there it is a novelty. We spend half the year in NW MT, and it is a bit more common there. It isn't really making a statement, as much as facing the reality that the wildlife can still be dangerous. We often have black bear on the porch (doesn't help that my partner throws food out for them), and brown bear down river maybe 20 miles (she claims they have seen them on the ranch 5 miles down river). Etc. And, yes, we also carry bear mace, but it doesn't always work.

From Truth About Guns today on open carry: What Really Scares Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America’s Shannon Watts.

I do think that it is coming. It is supposedly legal in some 40 states, or at least is supposed to be (Denver used to arrest anyone carrying openly for brandishing if the butt of the gun was visible, and for concealed carry w/o a permit (that they wouldn't issue) if it wasn't, etc.) The thing that isn't mentioned is that guns these days are almost somewhat tribal, with Blue State America being horrified at the idea, and Red State America getting more and more into the gun culture. So, open carry is, I suspect, going to be almost a branding exercise, displaying your tribal affiliation. And, because so many on the left have meltdowns when seeing visibly armed civilians, I think that some will do it for the shock value. We shall see.
