Trump fired Carolyn Kepcher!

Oh no!
"She became a prima donna," said one insider. "Being on 'The Apprentice' went to her head. She was no longer focused on business. She was giving speeches for $25,000 and doing endorsements."...

"George has been around a long time. He's seen everything. He didn't get excited even when women on the street started screaming when they saw him on his way to work," said one source. "But Carolyn took it very seriously. She thought she was a freaking movie star."...

"Trump told her what she had to do was take some time off and spend it with her family, and then get another job," said an insider. "They have a great relationship."
Well, really, why should Carolyn have to be bothered with running Trump National Golf Club? That was the job you know. And she may not be a freaking movie star, but she's a freaking TV star. On the other hand, how many tough blondes does Trump need on the show? He's got Ivanka, and much as we "Apprentice" fans love Carolyn, we also love Ivanka.

Meanwhile, Carolyn has her book, "Carolyn 101: Business Lessons from 'The Apprentice's' Straight Shooter," and her speaking tours, and plenty of money. It's just beneath her to be running a golf course. Though it is kind of embarrassing to get kicked off the show. I've got to think making room for Ivanka was part of it.

...but...

George and Carolyn were the best reasons to watch the show!

What insight can Ivanka really have on how things work in business? (Besides, isn't the whole 'daughter in the boardroom' thing a bit too...Martha Stewart? I only watched an episode or two, so I could be wrong about that.)

Carolyn was good on the show, because she wasn't afraid to make fun of the contestants; the show isn't going to be as good without her.

Man, the show just won't be the same. Ivanka's smart, but only Carolyn can be Carolyn.

Goodness, what is the world coming to! Imagine, Donald Trump of all people, thinking someone was acting too big for his or her britches. Tsk, tsk.

Carolyn was always a highlight, and yes running a golf course is not good enough for her now. Ivanka is good but she's no Carolyn

They've already finished production on the next season and apparently Carolyn wasn't a part of it.

I'd be sad if I hadn't developed a crush on Ivanka last season.

But why does Trump have to trash Carolyn in the press? Even if it's true she's a prima donna (despite seeming pretty nice), Trump has a long track record of trashing people in the press (he did it to Martha before last season). And it's a bit funny for Trump to attack others for being self-promoters.....

Ah, but they have to generate buzz for another season......

Of course it also gives Carolyn an opportunity to do another round on the talk shows, which will probably help the promotion of her as well. Hmm, are they conspiring together?

I'm gonna miss that ruthless smirk...

I'm thinking that what we love about her is her stern disapproval, her willingness to sneer and scoff at people. It's hilarious and entertaining, but not when it's aimed at you. My theory is: She aimed it at him.

The fact Trump used his daughter to force Carolyn off the show really shows the hypocrisy surrounding the Trump image. He portrays an image that he's a self-made man. Baloney.

He is living proof that the son of mutli-millionaires can grow up to become a multi-billionaire. Ahhh... Nepotism... the American dream...

At least his parents, Fred and Mary Trump made their millions building affordable housing for returning WWII veterans in the NYC boroughs. Meanwhile, "The Donald" continues to build more golden calfs in his own honor.

And Ivanka... well, she had the skill to get born to the right father.

I don't believe for a second anything Trump says about her. I'm even skeptical about her being fired. It wouldn't reflect well on Trump if it seemed like she had any choice in the matter -- we haven't heard anything from Carolyn in the press, so maybe that was part of the deal.
