"Only Hillary has my number. It couldn’t have been anybody else."

"I’m at your meeting here. I’ll them that. OK — I love you!"

What's the next stunt for the delightful couple?

He doesn't give his cell number to Chelsea?

Chennaul said...

Hmmm

I think this is a little different because he is campaigning for her.

If you reversed it and said Mitt's wife took a call from Romney and she shared it with the audience-well wouldn't the audience want to hear the latest from campaign headquarters-so to speak?

*Ugh* another thing and I know I'm going to catch it from all sides here-why doesn't Hillary get any credit for the First Lady job?

Who would really want to do that?

It's like she volunteered for years at the Red Cross or something and she doesn't even get to put it on her resume as experience.

LOL! "Sorry, Chelss, I just have this rule about giving out my number. You have the DNC number, right? So we're connected!"

They're targeting some specific group of a) undecided b) female c) New Hampshire voters...maybe lower and lower-middle class women with high school educations...not law professors.

So, does the "iron my shirt" incident fit into this category too?

Or is that authentic protesting?

Ugh maybe their trying to get the chauvinist union guy's vote by illustrating that Hillary "confers" with Bill?

Sorry but their are plenty of lawyers with stories about how union guys go nuts when a female is assigned as their boss.

Gotta give the Clintons credit-- they know how to keep the focus squarely on them.

Well, if it was a ploy, it was a dumb one.

A much better thing for the Clintons to want to have played over and over is this:

"You wanna know what I think?” Clinton said. “You guys who think 9/11 was an inside job are crazy as hell. My wife was the senator from New York when that happened. I was down at Ground Zero. I saw the victims' families. You're nuts."

Good for him. This is what should be news from the Clintons today, not crying and phone calls.

Damn-

I'm really going to cry Hillary is going to lose this thing and republicans are going to have a harder time against Barrack "No Paper trail" Obama.

Peter V. Bella said...

The phone call was phony, though not staged. Hillary calls Bill every fifteen minutes whenever he is more than three feet from her. it is to insure he is where he is supposed to be. It is to keep his straying in check.

Chennaul said...

Sooo...the cell phone is really a GPS tracking device, and Hillary was doing an ops check?

Stunt is the perfect word to describe the whole campaign.

Oh, Mr. President, you are wrong. Many of us have your number.

What a Cheap Trick!

Not like the old days.

When Chelsea woke up, Mom and Dad were rolling on the couch . . .
rolling numbers, rock and rolling, got her Kiss records out . . .

They just seemed a little weird.

He can't make her male.

And, he says he can't make her young.

He didn't say he couldn't make her Black, right?

What an amazing day of political theater from these two.

I believe the Kabuki culminated with the "sexist" attack on Hillary: Iron my shirts.

Milk it for all it’s worth Althouse. It’s all you and your wingnut readers have left.

I feel sorry for Christopher. Christopher liked her, according to his Mother.

What will Christopher do now?

There's always Martha Stewart. Or, back to Madonna, I suppose.

Love,
Maxine

Well after the Iowa spanking and how the poll numbers are shaping up for the Iron Maiden in NH, I daresay its more than she has.

Don't expect a graceful exit.

I'm sure she's got Hugh Rodham, and the rest of the clan, waiting in the wings, ready to commit some sleazy debacle before finally being booted out.

I do not consider my self a nut, wing or otherwise. I am not a self loathing Liberal. I will milk this for all its worth. Hillary and Bill have finally done what we all knew. They proved that they are phony, dishonest, disingenuous, and have only their own self interest in mind. Alligator tears, staged phone calls, planted friends; what next? I will bet they have a million of them. They are nothing but a bad burlesque tag team.

How is it that I never get accused of shilling for Obama?

People understand your history as a blogger.

Hillary! is the Ohio State of the Democratic Presidential Primaries - invulnerable and inevitable until they play the game. But once they play, it's 31-10, the Ohio State losing with 4 minutes left in the third quarter...

You seem to know an awful lot about Althouse for a newbie.

I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

Nah, he's just a garden variety troll.

Somebody on this blog once described the Clintons as a couple of third-rate grifters. What do you think is gonna be their next grift?

Get ready for Bill to have a staged heart attack.

Roost, those are dating back to August at the latest. I've been blogging like mad about the election. Why nothing more recent?

The question was why you don't get accused of being a shill for Obama, not whether you've been constantly attacking him. That's ten posts from 2007 that paint him as an empty suit spewing frothy weakness. That might preclude people viewing you as a shill for Obama.

If you've warmed to him, you have kept it quiet and shallow. Not that there is anything wrong with that - at the risk of blowing blake's mind, I'm not accusing you of heresy here, just answering the question. It would be hard to find ten negative Althouse posts on any of the candidates except Obama and Clinton.

Roost, do you see me promoting anyone?

Didn't Giuliani pull this cell phone call thing a while back? What a bunch of crap. Must be something in the NY water system.
