Hey, kids, come play in the “neutering fun and safe environment.”

From the L.A. Parks Department, where they're into "achieving gender equality through a continuous commitment to girls and women in sports."

More like a Freudian Slip. Neutering is what they really do mean.

LOL. Verification word always seems to be relevant.

Boys should not ride their bikes, whatever they do. Probably shouldn't sit down at all.

At least they're honest.

Maybe Ann's pals in the Republican Party, who love to beat down the women, will take action against this outrage.

Ann should be proud of her Republican champions!

Isn't neutering males the whole point the of the American educational system these days?

They wanted nattering.

Gender equality in after school sports always meant that they got rid of the games which involved collisions (i.e. the fun ones).

I'm sure it's just a mis-translation from the original spanish.

I wonder what word they really meant.

Luckily, LAUSD kids' reading scores are so low most of them will not even be able to read this.

I'd hate to think of the poor kid showing up at the after-school club for the first time.

Welcome to the Palisades Club, Stanley! There's lots to do here! At Station 1 boys and girls are making imitation leather belts and wallets. At Station 2, you can see they're rolling medical doobies for local patients. Outside, we have non-contact volleyball. Now, to get you signed up, all you have to do is report to the nurse. Stanley?

Stanley?

WV: quiteral, as in I quite literally quit.

Is this like the time Dilbert's pointy-haired boss went around looking for "eunuch programmers"?

What do you suppose the word was meant to be?

Neutral?

Co-ed? (In the "mis-translated from Spanish division perhaps.")

Probably a misspelling and spell-check fail in any case.

The quote you have in the body of your post, "achieving gender equality through a continuous commitment to girls and women in sports" is even more chilling than the misspelling in the title.

It's emotional drivel so contorted as to destroy the possibility of rational thought. Political correctness? It's NewSpeak.

Hah. In C Pound or C Number?

WV "gazerd" What I get reading the drivel from Alpha, fls, etc.

Also could have used a proofreader.

Capital I "Is?"

And are we in agreement?

"...encourage your child to complete their after school studies ...."

This is an "A-B-C" type program besides a sports program, right?

the flier must be fixed--I don't see neutering anywhere.

the massive hit rate on their servers must have merited some attention as to why the flier was so popular nationwide

nothing in the flier is disturbing, it's an after school program for elementary school kids age 5-10.

big whoop

Second line of the program description. It's not a "nurturing" environment, although I'm pretty sure that's what they meant to say.

The content of this post gave my dog PTSD, as it reminded him of the worst day of his life. He then took a pistol and shot up the local dog run, killing 13 pooches and wounding 30. According to Time Magazine and the rest of the MSM, this is all Althouse's fault for posting this on her blog. Murderer!

Old RPM Daddy nails it.

Just a spellcheck fail, I guess.

They're not rocket scientists in the D of P&R. Most are products of the LAUSD. An revealing set of recent conversations indicated to me that, in fact, evolution isn't taught in schools here. Nothing is.

Spellcheck worked just fine. Proofreading fail, from what I can see, although everybody's done that at one time or another. They don't usually have such funny results, though.

By the way, once upon a time I had to write a performance report on somebody named Emily. The WordStar spellchecker (this was pretty long ago, you see) didn't recognize the name. It suggested "omelet" instead.

WV: unstal, which seems somehow appropriate, given the topic.

Way back when we used typewriters. NO spell check and we had to actually proofread, I made a hilarious error in a property appraisal that I was typing for an appraiser to present to a client.

He was discussing the beauty of the area and talked about the scenic lava flows that created unusual rock formations.

Unfortunately I typed scenic LARVA flows.....not such a scenic mental image. Ick.
