One year ago today an the Wisconsin protests: the "fleebaggers" holed up in Illinois.

"Oh, come on! That's absurd.... I cannot understand why the Democratic senators should get more because of the way they've behaved. What kind of an example will that set for the future? No one will accept the outcome of an election anymore."

It's amazing what can be forgotten, which is why it's not amazing that people do such contemptible things. Thanks for reminding us of this moment in American heroism.

Wisconsin voters should consider them all ineligible for election ever again.

So it was one year ago today that the Wisconsin Dems jumped the shark. And yesterday they celebrated the anniversary a day early, by killing jobs and then blaming it on the Republicans.

The saddest part is that so many of their constituents are either stupid or too brainwashed, and still support these idiots.

Got into www.iverifytherecall.com tonight - slow as molasses, but not slow enough for me to get in and see what looks to be the final Gov Walker raw signature total (without any thrown out) of 837,638. Sadly, not enough to avoid the recall itself, but far from the “over 1 million” that was touted far and wide as the most accurate number to ever fall upon planet Earth. Huh, they …um… LIED! I guess all the Libs here in Madison will have to get new buttons to wear – 1 in 837,638 is not as catchy as 1 in a million, eh?? Given Barrett’s 2010 election total – a number that actually was over a million – I would say it’s a B-/C+ effort for 61…er…60 days, but a FAIL for the Dems narrative of overwhelming "throw Scott Walker out". Now, if we could only get a media and Dem party retraction, but I’m not holding my breath… that may have to wait until the GAB actually says, “well, yes indeed, there are 837,638 raw signatures”

"...that's another thing I'd like to avoid encouraging. Websites getting tons of traffic with premature news scoops. I'd like the WSJ to explain why it did that. It shouldn't want to look like a link whore."

Link whore?

Or is the job of "newspaper" websites to increase views and clicks through various means (such as reliable reportage), in a manner more recalling "post haste" than not, to their employers product?

OOPS!

I just realized I've offended myself by using the term "whore." I learned it by watching "Biloxi Blues."

Seems only right Obama is elected again, with this consideration.

Fleebaggers at a fleabag motel. That is almost Tennessee Williams level drama. And Supreme Court Justices wrestling after Kloppenburg demands re-counts because a whole unreported city's votes swing victory into defeat.

The Union Movement seems to be stuck in 1930s melodramas. But what would we ever do for entertainment without Wisconsin politics?

@coolkevs -

Given that VTR did not enter 14,000 of the pages of Walker recall signatures [not sure why, but if you check their data, they are quite short of entering all pages].

They entered 138k, there are 152k.

Given that, judging the total # based on an incomplete database is pointless.

I also note that VTR appears to have thrown Rebecca Kleefish under the bus ... her recall is completely ignored. Apparently fraud against a woman isn't as big a deal as against a man ...

Well, at least they got to hang out at a nice chain breastaurant.

PS and OT: Insta notes Keith Ubermoronn is apologizing to SE Cupp and Michelle Malkin and wonders if cable cancellations may be at the root of it. Coming on the heels of Maher's sudden willingness to accept Rush's apology, it's certainly looking that way.

Yes Mark, its this group that doesn't haveinfinite resources fault that Democrats are going after a woman for no reason.

It is easier to run from problems, blame them on others, or insist others take responsibility. That's the democrat way, with undeniable examples as far as the eye can see. At least, to those without the rose-colored chicken glasses on.

I hereby petition the democrat adherents, the 'progressives' and other assorted socialists to renounce your US citizenship and leave the country. That's right, GTFO and stop your ruinous, selfish and stupid behavior.

It's downright embarrassing to the rest of us trying to make an honest living and raise responsible families. Truth be told, we don't want to be your neighbors any more.

No one will accept the outcome of an election anymore.

Not if they're Democrats in Wisconsin and they've lost.

It's not over until we win.

I'll go all Godwin on this thread...

When Hitler finally did win (power, if not a majority of the electorate) it really was over. The same thing happened in the Eastern European states after World War II. Some were nominally democratic for a year or two but, once the Communists gained power once, it was over because one period of control was all they needed to outlaw their rivals.

"It's not over until we win" has a very a shady and checkered history. It's the language of totalitarians.
