At last. Romney gets revenge for all that mockery over spelling "America" "Amercia."

Obama spells "Ohio" "Oiho."

The best part of this story is the WaPo initially insisting that Romney's picture was photoshopped.

Source for my WaPo claim.

Come on now... that's the Hawaiian spelling for Ohio.

Do you mean Obama?

Matt Sablan said...

Er, to be more clear "the picture the Romney campaign tweeted out," which my use of possessive makes unclear.

exactly.

I was about to make that same point:

The Washington Post incorrectly reported the photo was doctored, but Maloney told The Hill it is authentic.

with no evidence. just liberal knee-jerk CYA

Isn't "Oiho" the 57th state?

Sure, the Democrats are in no position to complain, but why can't we cut out this bullshit?

So they initially stood in the wrong positions, what does that tell you about anything?

And Confusion is the home state of our VP.

Tim Maguire, whenever you think something like that, just ask yourself: "What if Bush had said/done that?" That will explain much of Republicans humor in seeing things like this and watching the double standard play out in real time.

Is not; it's Kenyan

I must be pretty deep in the conservative cacoon because I didn't know about the Amercia gaffe. So I googled it. That gaffe is even more stupid to get worked up about. No wonder it went down the memory hole. Just like this one will.

This apparently is the summer of Democrats Doing Things That Would Subject Them to Unending Ridicule if They Were Republicans.

Amercia made me smile, this does too. I like seeing incredibly smart, successful people get knocked down a peg.

I would slightly unscrew salt and pepper shakers at fancy restaurants for that reason.

It's temporary amusement, overshadowed by the end of the day, if not hour.

Plus, the liberal media tried to cover for him and got caught once more exposing their true agenda which is to pull and drag Obama's sorry butt across the finish line. To hell with their reputation, they'll worry about their reputation after the election.

furious_a said...

The President was in "Oiho" campaigning on his J-O-B-S platform.

The media first claimed it was photo shopped.

When Obama thinks about the spelling of 'Ohio', Obama knows where he is standing he is the 'H" position in Ohio. He isn't considering his audience, or their perspective.

It tells you about how Obama views things...

I knew the time would come when we stopped debating legitimate rape and got down to the real issue of typos.

I think his 20-something speechwriters had been goofing on OH HAI and fucked it up.

Robert Cook proven correct after all: Obama IS too far to the right.

Goodness, you must have been terribly upset during the Clinton Administration when it came out about juanita broderick. You must have been beside yourself with snide comments and no outlet as this blog was not yet into existence.

Are we sure the image didn't just get reversed when uploaded/edited? Happens with my phone cam all the time.

actually, the guy at the end of the line is making the 'I' sign so they are spelling 'O-I-H-I'
c'mon, it's a tough state to spell correctly..all those o's and h's and i's and stuff!

That they could f*ck up a one-car parade?

Chris said...

Meh. From the spellers' perspective, and anyone behind them, it was spelled correctly.

Let me know when Obama's on YouTube singing "We Don't Give a Damn for the Whole State of Michigan."

No, check out Obama's watch and another guy's watch who is in the picture too. Obama is left handed.

The economy is in the tank--41 months of unemployment over 8 percent and the real unemployment rate is worse; fighting a war in A-Stan that is about overtake the Korean war as the forgotten war, there is a fiscal cliff looming, and the partisans are talking about rape and Oiho. This country is in sad shape. As Pogo's avatar reminds us: we have met the enemy and he is us.

This is silliness but funny, especially how the Wapost dismissed it incorrectly as photoshopped. Heh. With that said, more silliness. Shouldn't the title of this post be "At last. Romney gets revenge for all that mockery over spelling America "Amercia."" Why is the first "America" in quotes? Same goes for the "Ohio" "Oiho" thing.

As an aside, long time Buckeye fan. I attended the Ohio State v. Michigan game at Ohio Stadium in 1968 (I was 11). The did the O-H-I-O cheer (one half of the stadium saying OH) the other side finishing with IO...the whole game.

I tried saying this, but after 8 WV attempts, I gave up.

Oiho has 81 electoral votes.

I'd be surprised if Obama avoided it.

Obama confuses Ohio, Hawaii and Iowa, but wherever he is he knows exactly how to position his prayer rug vis-a-vis Mecca.

But not a single one of them points out the blindingly obvious fact that the people in the picture are facing the camera. Which means that their left is the photographer’s right. So from their perspective they’re spelling “O-H-I-O,” which as many of you know is the proper spelling of “Ohio.

Nice try....

So when you get together with your friends to hold up placards saying "machine," we should expect to see "E-N-I-H-C-A-M," is what you're saying?

Wipe your chin, machine. We can still see Obama's jizz dripping off it.

And your excuse for when they switched places for the SECOND picture, the one the Obama Campaign tweeted would be.......
