"You lay one damn hand on one of those World War II vets at that memorial and I’ll bring half a million people to that damn memorial!"

"You got that?! I’m sitting here stewing thinking about this – playing these damn games? You’ll ignite a movement in this country like you’ve never seen before! The biker patriot army – veterans from all over the country, every single war and battle in this country, Republican, Democrat, Independent, whatever!"

Mark Levin gets attention flaunting a power to call down a biker army on Washington.

The Capitol Police start arresting vets are public memorials, I'll hop the next jet to join the protests in DC.

Whose monument? Our monument!
Whose monument? Our monument!

I'm not advocating violence put predicting it. I'd love to see that march on DC. If possible, I'll even participate. It's time to jerk government's chain for a change.

Not really following this -- but are they seriously warning Geezer Vets -- my Dad is one! -- of arrest if they visit a Memorial that's out in the open?

If they are, I don't think I've ever run across someone quite so tone deaf.

War on Americans. We were divided first and now King Obama has his Federal Gestapo attacking the evil group that has been demonized by the Government Media Complex.

Having listened, I think Levin is a bit too anti-Obama in his tirade, so it's too easy to dismiss him as just an angry old anti-Obamaite. The problem transcends the Executive Branch.

He'd get help from all the "usual suspects", too.

He probably can do what he says, or rather he is conf ident that if some such outrage happens an ad hoc network will spring up to organize such an event. Its been done often before, such as with numerous massive anti abortion rallies, the anti Obamacare demos in 2010, etc.

Its not much of a political threat though, no matter how many show up, as it will not be covered on the news. We also know this from the past. We are a country of two realities.

I don't see a problem here.
There is no reason to barricade off an open park other than to play 'make it hurt' theatre, and point fingers 'look at what those evil republicans are causing'. And then to threaten arrest of 80-90 year olds.
Obama is a mean-spirited, vindictive, asshole, and this is just another in a long line of dick moves on his part.

read a comment on another site, guy was lamenting that he'd rather have even Carter than jughead. I hate to say it but I agree. Even Carter isn't as anti-american as jughead.

The Memorial is closed but the Andrews Air Force Base golf course is open. There are priorities here, people.

I'm assuming he's talking about people like the Patriot Guard Riders.

I think half a million is a low estimate.

Furloughed people have to have something to do.

In reality, I will guess that, like the Post Office, Andrews AFB Golf Course generates its own revenue stream. (Why it's not a private entity is a question that should be asked now).

I know Levin is super smart but he seems unhinged most the time. He's for real what liberals accuse Rush of being (without their actually listening to).

But I'm old and can't handle the hysteria anymore.

There are lots of "create their own revenue stream" facilities that are being shutdown, including some that don't involve any federal employees. (Private entities run many govt facilities.)

Obama's golf course is being kept open. They aren't.

If you've got another difference, one that actually exists, let's hear it.

If Levin could pull it off that would be a beautiful thing. A real grassroots turnout like that would spook the RINO's and maybe sober up a bit the gimee dats for a short while.

Also, one can go to the Ace of Spades website and see that the WWI Memorial sits unguarded and unbarricaded.

Who threatened any WW2 Vet? Hysterics. Nuts. Tea Party.

Who threatened a WW II vet with arrest?

The Park Service.

Inga, the White House said they would arrest WW2 veterans if they try to get access to the WW2 memorial.
And now that I proved what I said - do you feel particularly stupid?

Oh, and how about your Harry Reid who told the media that he would rather have children die than allow shutdown to become a little bit less painful? What's up with that?

A link would go a long way towards proving this.

Or are we just supposed to trust you?

"Arresting WWII Vets".

Wherever else it may have been told or written, as a local, I heard it on D.C. radio news Monday or Tuesday. I can't recall the details at this point, but a high up woman in the Park Service made the comment.

"The problem transcends the executive branch."

Bullshit.

That's a fucking lie.

Who manages and supervises those Park Service employees? The fucking NFL Commissioner? Peppridge Farm? Cal Worthington and his dog, Spot?

They are federal employees of the Department of the Interior. Their Chain of Command goest through the Secretary and to the President himself. Congress ain't in it.

Take this false equivocating and shove it.
