Your ugly Christmas suit.

Replacing the ugly Christmas sweater.

But that link goes to an Esquire article (with funny pictures). If you actually need to buy anything — anything at all — please consider using The Althouse Amazon Portal.

Those look photoshopped to me.

Someone please explain the "Ugly Christmas X" business. If you think it's ugly, don't wear it. Leave it for the people who actually like it. If you think it's fun, playful, a break from the routine, then by all means, go for it, but don't play the game of calling it "ugly."

That's just insulting to others.

Many years ago, I had a nice pair of wool slacks in a plaid pattern that went well with a red blazer I had and that was my outfit for Christmas parties. Then we had a Mexican housekeeper (almost certainly illegal) who washed the wool pants.

I have been against illegal immigration ever since.

I took my daughter christmas shopping at a very large mall in Minnesota. There was an "Ugly Christmas sweater" store. Kind of killed the game for me.

Why ugly anything? Is it so hard to just have a Christmas party??

It makes Christmas more like Halloween.

So it's part of the phenomenon of adults taking over kid things.

Wearing an ugly sweater is a way to become like a child. It's desexualizing, for one thing. Silly. Playful.

One christmas my husband was stationed in Korea. He sent me a white sweater covered in sea foam green, quilted Christmas trees, probably on special at the px. It seemed like he thought he was married to an eighty year old woman. I should return the favor with one of these suites.

But to an old-time IT guy Christmas is exactly like Halloween. Everyone knows that 31 Oct(al) = 25 Dec(imal)!
