The sun has set for Gonzaga and Louisville.

Harry Ried may actually have had an accident with exercise equipment. Fragile bones break more easily than most people believe.

Today was Palm Sunday. I listened to the priest read from the Gospel According to Mark, and I was on the edge of tears. One apostle betrayed Christ, and the other eleven ran. The only people who provided aid and comfort to Him were humble people; people who were not part of the main narrative, but who did the right thing when they were called upon to do so. I have a new admiration for Joseph of Arimathea, who went to Pilate to get Jesus' body. It was Joseph's own tomb in which Christ was buried.

Other Palm Sundays have come and gone. I don't know why this one is hitting me so hard.

Bob, imagine falling in such a way that you break multiple ribs and rearrange your face without also damaging the arm, wrist, and hand on that side of the body.

Doesn't wash.

Kentucky, seeded #1 in its region
Wisconsin, seeded #1 in its region
Duke, seeded #1 in its region
Michigan State, seeded #7 in its region

One of these is not like the others.

It is a nice sunset for Palm Sunday. It was sunny out here in California. I read a Philip Kerr on my deck, between watching March Madness. For dinner, I took my 13 year old son out for a cheeseburger. I would say it was a very good day.

It looks like what the Decar Plastics fire in Middleton must have looked like, circa 1970.

Any old timers here remember that one?

"Arizona Lawmaker: Church Attendance Should Be Mandatory"

Hands up don't preach.

I think it's a good idea whose time has come.

*It isn't to the palace that the Christ child comes, but to shepherds and street people, hookers and bums...*

I was out walking the dog last night, and it was about this time, and the sunset was great.

I even walked down your street -- it was a long walk.

"I don't go to church. Churches are full of hypocrites."

What better place for sinners to hear the word, to be cleansed by the word of God? Learning to be doers instead of hearers.

Did you look in the windows?

I'd like to think I wouldn't look in the windows, but you never really know until you are there.

This is especially true regarding the hot chick who lives around the corner.

She usually gets home at six, and goes to bed around ten.

Just what I have noticed.

I notice things like that.

I am Laslo.

Rude!

I did notice all the sidewalk squares to be replaced. And they look perfectly fine to me (that's a midwestern description -- perfectly fine) so I'm not sure what criteria the city uses. Maybe it's because the city knows althouse isn't reliably-enough liberal ;)

I'm ready for baseball season. I wish it were starting this week. A few snowed-out games would really cheer me up.

Debussy wrote that Wagner was a beautiful sunset that had been confused with a sunrise.

Something for Althouse to read.

I give up. During WWII Bill Mauldin drew a cartoon of an officer looking at a beautiful sunset and asking whether there was one for the enlisted men. I've looked all over and can't find it online anywhere. When I saw your picture, Professor, I thought of that one.

The whole Indiana RFRA thing is just mind blowing. The Federslist has a good article on 10 people who have been helped by RFRA. Idiots don't want to learn. Just spout their nonsense.

Mike Pence needs to do a better job of explaining the law.
