"Fired staffer accuses Tammy Baldwin's office of coverup in VA scandal."

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
In a 16-page complaint, Baylor is asking the U.S. Senate Ethics Select Committee to investigate the first-term senator "for making false statements and representations" to cover up the actions by her chief of staff, Bill Murat, and "to protect her political career."

"Had Murat, as the chief of staff, allowed me and other individuals to properly perform our roles, the issues surrounding the Tomah VA Medical Center would have been identified and addressed long ago," Baylor said in the complaint drafted by a Republican law firm out of Kansas City. "By attempting to place to place the blame at my feet, Senator Baldwin has concealed the truth, made false statements, and mischaracterized my service as deputy state director."

Baldwin's aides make an awful lot of money. I know they have to live in DC, mostly, but jeeze.

I'm sure MJS always identifies "Democrat Law Firms" as such.

...but it's a third less than what a man would get in a similar job!!

She refused the severance package. I hope she has lots of proof, but I'll guess this hasn't been carefully thought through.

----Baldwin's aides make an awful lot of money

Your deep concern for the Veterans who were being overmedicated and how our government cannot find a way to professionally provide health care is noted.

---Overdose
Marine Corps veteran Jason Simcakoski, 35, dies from an overdose as an inpatient at the Tomah VA Medical Center. Two days earlier, Tomah practitioners decided to add another opiate to the 14 drugs he was already prescribed. The cause of death was "mixed drug toxicity.”---

We’ll remember next time you tell us how caring you are.

Better than Ron Johnson who couldn't be bothered to be involved.

If Baldwin were an R, people would all call it money grubbing. But if it is a lesbian D, we will be sure to interpret it through partisan filter.

Marquette Baylor has a stupid name and I hope her greed sinks her.

I see no reason not to investigate this. People died, and the government STILL hasn't given us good answers as to why.

I wonder why reporter Daniel Bice did not mention in today's piece that Baylor was “one of the highest ranking heterosexuals on Baldwin’s staff”.
It seemed an important fact in his previous reportage on this subject. There was also a suggestion that the suit for wrongful termination would include a claim of sexual discrimination. But that is not included in the complaint.

Since the title did not specify "Tammy Baldwin (R)" I assumed she was a Democrat. Turns out that is wrong, don't know what to make of it.

In Missouri, where I assume the Republican law firm is located, they have open primaries. In Kansas, on the other hand, one would register as an independent, or a member of a party. I wonder how the WS identified the party affiliation of the law firm.

Has Marquette ever played Baylor in the NCAAs?

I hope you're kidding about the third less. You know that on third stuff's been debunked right?

Law firms, hell - what about newspapers?

The whistle blower did not contact Johnson. Probably thought that a Democrat would be more 'caring'. Hah!

The VA IG did not share the report with Johnson either. Probably intended that a sycophant like Mark would use it to divert from Tmammy's malfeasance or contempt for veterans.
